Subject, Method, and System of Civil Law

This collection explores one of the fundamental issues of modern civil law science—the subject, method, and system of civil law. The book is based on materials from the international scientific and practical conference of the same name, organized by the Scientific Research Institute of Private Law at KazGUU, the German Society for Technical Cooperation (GIZ), ZANGER Law Firm, and the Kazakhstan International Arbitration as part of the annual civil law readings.

The collection includes scientific reports and presentations from the conference by leading scholars from Germany, Russia, Tatarstan, Dagestan, Ukraine, Belarus, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan, as well as practicing lawyers, representatives of law enforcement and judicial authorities, postgraduate students, and researchers.

This publication was funded by the Federal Government of Germany through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH.

It is intended for researchers, postgraduate students, law faculty members, students, judiciary professionals, prosecutors, advocates, practicing lawyers, and others studying and applying civil legislation.
